Excellent - I get it - the SetPoint is set low to achieve an Off - ok

Spooked me there

Actually, just been looking at the code and my system and it should be showing 20 deg C. It is OK for the controlled TRV (Spirit) to be 8 as it should be off as the Heat Setpoint has been reached. The TRV Controller should be showing 20 as that is the active target Heat setpoint.

Looks like you could have found a bug?

My first take is that it isn't the TRV Controller plugin, but I could be wrong.
If you disable the TRV Controller device controlling that TRV , does it stop?

Are you running a graphing action every 3 minutes e.g. CSV capture or some other action that is scheduled for every three minutes?.

I am turning in for the night and will pick this up again tomorrow.

Maybe I am just misunderstanding the Plugin.

The rooms I have run by this plugin are very warm indeed!

Still delivering Heat when both the TRV and the external Thermostat are reporting over the target of 20C

Couple of questions.
Are you using remote temp sensor with Delta set to 5 degrees?
Could you also plot the TRV setpoint as well as the thermostat plugin device.
Finally it's showing that your trv is in hardware mode, have you pressed buttons on the TRV?

Nope not touched a button on TRV since Inclusion and initial setup

BTW found the issue with the repeating error

Actually I am plotting the TRV Setpoint it is the Red line on the graph

Good morning

This is a useful bit of testing, can check that your Spirit device settings are setup as follows:

I suspect what is happening is that when the Spirit returns the Setpoint (which isn't needed by the plugin), the plugin can't tell whether that is the result of a poll or whether a physical button has been pressed. I suspect that is why it is showing it as being in TRV Hardware Mode.

re: previous post - you need all your Spirits to be setup the same way. Once all changed, reload the plugin to start with a clean-slate.

I will look at putting in a check for the required Spirit parameters and warning if not correct.

I will also add these requirements to the documentation.
