Can smartphone radar be used with Amazon Dash buttons?

Hmm... sure wish there was a way to make this more reliable. I can imagine them hidden under the coffee table, dinner table, night stand to activate all sorts of one touch scenes.

if you are into this:

the mac has to listen to the WAN port of the router. You could add a splitter between the router and the modem. Then connect that cable to the second port of a mac. and setup a 2. FING to listen to that ethernet...

Or some routers have an option to copy ALL traffic to specified port, connect that port to your mac.

Thats a real challenge..

here the inside of the amazon dash button:

it has an AAA battery in the back, which could be replaced, but it is soldered in, so a bit tricky

The front can be opened after you remove the plastic film which shows the product name. after that you need to unscrew three 8x corner very small screws , Then it falls apart.

It has
one button just under the REV01
one uFL antenna connector just left of the white label
one 8 pin programming socket top right
one microphone top end

It is not clear what chips are on there as many do not have a label on them or a private label.

BUT if the battery runs out it should be possible to replace it, or just buy a new switch for $5.
