So I was actually looking at that today, but I couldn't get it to work. I've enabled a couple of devices on the app, but when I load the App in CarPlay it just says I need to log in. I meant to get a snapshot of the error but I forgot. I'll try and grab it later/tomorrow.

Ah now the version on the TestFlight is 2.1 build 2 from 12th April, where as the current App Store version is 2.1.1 from 2 days ago.

Absolutely love this app and all the work you have put into it. I would 100% like this to be my default app for communicating with indigo. Just some feedback: I added a couple device request to your GitHub and today added the device details from my indigo log (ROKU TVs, Blue Iris Camera (as a motion detector), and a tweek for Insteon thermostats.

If you add a control page to a room, why does it open behind the room? I kept clicking it thinking it wasn't working, then I had to previous page through 5 of the same control page that I just opened. I just though it was backwards because from the "Pages" tab, it goes right to it (forward) <-- does that make sense?

Once you create a room, can you change the name of the room or change the icon?

I love how it automatically sorted so many of my security devices, but it did get a little confused on some of them... but I'm not sure if it is user editable. Windows were listed as "Other Zones". A doorbell was listed as a "door". And I would like to add my garage doors to the listing. (Probably a harder ask since there are 100 ways to create a garage door in indigo).

Something I think I just learned.... the app only incorporates indigo stuff that is in "Remote Display" folders? So if the app is looking at a sensor that I want to be ignored, put it in a non-remote display folder?

Thank you. I’ll look at the device requests but yes I’ve got a backlog of them to enable. It took a back seat with the new Car Play functionality and Matter.

Ah, that’s a bug on control pages showing on the Room edit page. It’s supposed to be Variables. Same as on the browse tab.
Interesting idea but will need some more time to implement. I’d add html pages as I’m moving everything to them as much richer
Edit room name in settings>rooms. Right swipe.

Security devices relies on name conventions but you can click and hold to change. I can’t find the option to remove devices. You can change the device type in the standard browse tab from auto detected as well if that helps.
And that naming is the reason your doorbell shows as door. But easy change. To what though I don’t know.


Yes the app uses the standard API so honours remote display flags like IWS does.

You can only repurpose devices to a new type ie motion to door on panel devices. I need to align the functionality.
If that’s quick and doesn’t break anything will try and squeeze in to release with the Matter functionality about to go out.

On the security tab from the home screen (Little Shield Icon stuff), The app brought in all my zones from my DSC panel and several ZW devices and has them seperated by "door", "motion", "safety" (zw relay connected to a smoke detector) and "other zones." It looks great IMO and very clean. Thanks for the other tips. I'll keep plunking around with it.

So I think I figured out a glitch. sensors that natively report open/closed aren't recognized as sensors by the app. (That's why DSC zones, blue iris motion zones, etc, don't populate correctly.)

I tried a work around to test my theory....
to keep indigo clean, I created a new shared folder "Domio-smart-home" to put stuff in there that only the app needs to see. Then I created a couple masqureade devices for the sensors that the app wasn't picking up. For a DSC zone, for example...
Device Class: Plugin
Plugin: DSC Alarm
Device to Masquerade: (Pick zone).
State to Masqueraed: "state"
Match String "open"
Sensor Type "Motion Sensor"

This now will show up in the security tab under "Motion" Long press and change it to door/window.

I did something similar with a blue iris camera to add it as a motion security sensor and to a garage door to show as a door/window sensor. The common denominator isn't plugin support, it's a definition logic thing... I think.

Definitely think DSC alarm support is possible.

It’s a shareable repo of all device info across plugins for just this use. (And something I forgot I created !)
