Device dropdown empty

Today I added 3 new Hue bulbs to the house. They're just dimmable warm white bulbs, not color or color temperature adjustable. However, I can't add them to Indigo using the Hue Lights Plugin. When I create a new device, confirm the hub, etc., the dropdown list is empty. However, the bulbs I have added previously work fine. Am I being dumb? What am I doing wrong? Also, I don't know which model to choose for the plain warm white bulbs (they're offical Philips Hue bulbs) so I've tried all variations without success.

The plugin should automatically add new devices. You can switch that in/off in plugin configuration.

(In the left column)

You don't have to add manually a new HUE device, it works all by itself, so beautiful!

Same problem here ... I have 2 Hue bridges each with about 30 lights and a couple of switches configured. I added a sensor to Hub-2 yesterday and ws able to add that sensor device Ito my Indigo config via the Hue Lights plugin. No problems.

But the lights ... no luck and no love. I run the plugin's "add new devices" process, searching for lists and sensors and groups, and it adds zero devices.

I try adding the device "manually", but my drop-down also shows zero devices available to be added.

But here's the weird unexpected thing. If I use the plugin's "rename device" option, I can see each and every light that is know to each Hue bridge. So the plugin *knows* that these six new lights are out there, it just won't add corresponding devices into Indigo for them.

It *feels* a little like the *scan for device* process (and the populate dropdown process) are coded with an expectation of a maximum of maybe 60 devices ? I've read that this was the hard maximum per bridge, so if this plugin was ever coded to handle only a single bridge that kind of cap could be a leftover. in the code? Anyone able to check into that?

I'm having the same problem. I wonder if we are exceeding the max number of devices that the Hue plugin can accommodate.

Out of curiousity, how many Hue bridges are you running and how many devices per?

there is no limit for number of hue devices in the plugin, only max 4 bridges.
I have 80++ devices on 4 bridges.

The limits on a bridge are not physical devices, but "logical" that is much less than physical devices. That's why I need 4 bridges.

now to your question, please in config:
1. check: autocreate new hue devices. ..
2. check debug(9) find hue bridges

and restart the plugin. then send me the log file (KARL WACHS at me com)

1. delete an indigo hue devices, restart and the devices gets added (with auto create devices)

Well, I’m a little embarrassed and a lot impressed.

I didn’t reslize that this plugin was executing that device. Reation process on its own. Sure enough, the devices I was looking for had already been created and were sitting in the designated folder (Hue New Devices).

So sorry to have bothered you with this. Appreciate your plugin and your patience.

I've got this problem. dropdown empty, but the Hue exterior spotlight is NOT in "hue new devices."

It IS in the Hue app, and it is in my Apple Home app. (and it responds to commands from either of these apps.)

Unsure how to further troubleshoot this.
