Thanks for the report.
I have released an update to the Plugin Store which corrects a bug with the LIFX Beam definition which should hopefully now work. I haven't got a LIFX Beam to test with.
Your other discovery problems are probably network issues - possibly with QOS?

If a known device (to Indigo) isn't discovered, the plugin will keep trying discovery. You appear to have set the time between discovery attempts to 1440 minutes = once a day. I recommend that this is set to say 5 minutes. Once all devices are discovered then repeated discoveries will stop. You can then initiate another discovery either by using the action Device Actions > LIFX Controls > Discover LIFX Devices. Alternatively, you could just reload the plugin. If a LIFX device won't be discovered because you have temporarily physically removed it then if you disable communications for the LIFX device (untick Comm Enabled in the main Indigo Device list UI) then the plugin will ignore that device for discovery purposes.
The unknown device name message is because the plugin has received some info about the LIFX device but the data received is incomplete; again this might suggest a (temporary) network issue?
