What do you have your Valve reporting level set at? I have it set at 1.

I have had the situation with the Spirit where it is telling me it is close at 0% but the Valve is still open i.e. the radiator is hot and not cooling; maybe this has happened here?

I am considering turning the Spirit Off rather than setting it to 8 deg C to force the valve to close but I am not sure that would help your situation.

Yes set to 1% on the valve, I changed all trv settings to mirror yours.

Looks like this is an issue with the Spirits with fw .15.

The fw .16 are ok.

It seems to be heating a room with a target setpoint of 17c when the room temp is 19.5c

Are you running fw .15 or .16 ?

Both - most are .15.

Busta999 I've seen this happen once every 2-4 weeks out of 7 TRVs. Might be bad luck to get it at the start, but we definitely need a solution for it.

I only have 1 .15 fw.

The other 7 .16 fw seem ok so far.

Hopefully it restabilises.

Worst comes to worst it is still under warranty.

I am tracking the setpoint heat on the graphs to record the target temp for each room

But is looks like during the 10 minute window between periods the target temp drops to 8c

Is that correct?

I plot the setpoint on both the thermostat plugin and the trv so you can see if it's the spirit controlling the temp with the valve or the plugin.
Looks like you just have the trv sp plotted especially in the first chart?

No tracking SetpointHeat not the TRV.

I was tracking TRV before last night, but yesterday evening switched to just SetpointHeat to track target heat.

It looks like in the forced 10 min gap between schedules TRV Controller sets target to 8c.

Not an issue for 10 mins three times a day but not sure if it intentional.

Pretty sure you have the trv sp plotted. Which is 5 degrees higher than the desired sp with your remote temp sensor?

I suspect you are reading the graph before last evening.

It is using the correct SetpointHeat

Should do, Just tested with a Popp (similar) and that works OK.

Best thing is to try it and see.

Working as designed as it is turning the TRV off between schedules - the Setpoint is getting set to the minimum value.
