Had TrackR beacons working, no longer showing as closest

They were working, not I cannot get the Pi to see them anymore. My iPhone BLE connection works though. Any ideas to try?

I have also noticed now that the closest beacon on an Pi is never correct. I picked up the iHere and I know the UUID. I put it on top of the pi, any of the three that I have and it continuously shows some other device as the closest Pi. I compare signals and the iHere is -25 meanwhile the other UUID it lists as the closest is -65

You need to set transmition power to the proper value.

Place the beacon 1 meter away from the rpi then take that rssi and put it into iBeacon device edit.

Then the distance calculation is correct.

The issue is that the tm power is in most cases not dbm but some integer value 0-8

I must have messed something up. I know the UUID of the iHere beacons and nothing I try will have it seen by the Pi. Not sure what I did. I originally had the TrackR devices working too. No matter what I try my Pi’s all see something else as being nearby.

I just sent my iHere beacons back. I found that they continuously were going down and showing in active.

I hade new TrackR devices and tried those and they are working, yay. However my previous ones do not and I assume this is because the UUID ended up in the ignore list. I do not know the UUID of these, how do you you have it find all devices again and remove what the system ignored previously.
