I turned on debug logging and I can see it get's an command for input-selector 18, but I guess that's not mapping to anything?
That isn't a known/valid option according to my documentation. :-) I may be able to add it in fairly easily though... can you use the Plugin menu to send this command and see if it changes to that TV input (not the description since it isn't a mapping, but if it will execute the change of the Onkyo's input): SLI18

Well, sending SLI18 didn't work, so I starting trying other numbers and found that SLI12 does the trick:

That's confusing, why would it call it input-selector 18, but the command is 12?

So this is interesting... as others have pointed out, all numbers in the Onkyo protocol use hexadecimal; that isn't the interesting part, what is interesting is that normally they come back in hex too, so it is returning a standard integer in base 10 but requiring it to be sent in base 16. This is completely different than their other messages but hey we can work with it. I'll add it to the plugin - this is considered a TV input or is that a label you gave it?

I tried both those commands and could not initiate an Internet radio stream. For the more, I upgraded to the new plug-in version and now my FM/a.m. radio selection no longer works. Any thoughts? Also, regarding the Internet radio thing, the plug-in has source selection etc.… Is it possible to add “play“ and “pause” functions so that Internet radio streams can be started and paused?
Okay, so the docs on this are horrible, but I found a couple of other possibilities... Give these a try via the Send Arbitrary Command feature:

NTCPLAY
NTCSTOP

NTC1 ... NTC2... NTC3 (see if these are the presets)
NTC01 ... NTC02 (or see if these are the presets)

I found a slight formatting issue with tuning - try tuning with a full station number, for instance 5 digits for AM (use 01150 instead of just 1150). This will be fixed in the next version, just might give you a working changer now. HOWEVER, my receiver is now sending back an unintelligible value for the currently tuned station. This must have changed in a firmware update at some point, but I can't figure it out right now as it is just some integer that doesn't obviously correspond to the station tuned. Still looking into that.

This will be available in the next version... I double checked and it is not listed as a valid input number in any of the open source repos out there that use the eISCP commands - is this a newer receiver or something?

Yeah, I would expect that model to work - similar ones are known to and, in fact, nearly all of their receivers are compatible... Onkyo has been pretty good about compatibility.

Plugin is working fine except the tuner frequency does not update. The plugin will switch AM, FM and tune channels as seen on the unit itself, but will not update the tuner frequency in the little dialog box at the bottom of the Indigo device page. As such it does not update on the control page either. Used to work....

Plugin is working fine except the tuner frequency does not update. The plugin will switch AM, FM and tune channels as seen on the unit itself, but will not update the tuner frequency in the little dialog box at the bottom of the Indigo device page. As such it does not update on the control page either. Used to work....
It is possible an update broke the parsing expression or something... we will need to see the actual data being received back from the device whenever the plugin queries for the frequency. You can either turn the debugging up to full ( above what you posted, I believe) and search for it OR that data should already available in the plugin's log file; should be at:
/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7/Logs/com.duncanware.onkyoNetworkRemote

We are looking for a response that looks something like:
('tuning', '102.50')
