Beta macOS/iOS/iPadOS 26 Warning

I know everyone is probably very excited about the new Liquid Glass UI coming in all Apple OS releases along with all the new functionality. So are we. However, this year, it's even more important that you RESTRAIN YOURSELF from installing betas on any device that is important to your home automation.

The last time there was a big UI update, there were a very large number of bugs, right up and including the initial releases. As you all know, we're a tiny company and we're balancing new features with backend system support/updates and support for OS updates. So, please, do not install beta releases. In fact, we highly recommend that you skip the 26.0 release (initial) of any device that plays an important role in your automation system. This year, more than most years, has the potential to break a lot of stuff.

We will do what we can to test, but we won't guarantee addressing any issues until after the official releases this fall. If you have spare devices that aren't critical, knock yourself out. Early bug reports are sometimes helpful, though often those are bugs in the OS itself that get resolved during subsequent beta releases.
