Modules behind sockets

I've only ever used relays and dimmers on light circuits and smart plugs for mains sockets.
But investigating Shelly Devices more they say they can go behind sockets too.
As well as a safer way to monitor power on things like washing machines and tumble dryers where power draw might be more than a smart plug can handle it's neater.
However not sure how easy it would be to wire in the front facing switch on them.

It’d also depend on how deep your back boxes are too. Plus if they’re metal remember that may shield the signal.

I’ve not come across any where the switch on the socket itself was separately wired from the plug socket section. I’ve got a few a-wave modules behind some sockets and for those ones I chose to use plates with no switch, then a separate on/off switch next to it (much like the grid switch setups you often get in modern kitchens)

Seems to handle 16a and 3500w so think it would also be ok behind these?

Oops no. Google says Induction hob is 45A and 11kwh? Will just use them in normal 13a sockets
