Airfoil on a different PC

I know Indigo is currently configured to require AirFoil installed on the Indigo server.

Has anyone looked into having AirFoil elsewhere?

Currently my Mac (Indigo + Airfoil) is headless on a shelf in my bedroom, next to my Sky+ HD Box. AirFoil is working well streaming the audio to me from the local Mac input, from the Sky box. I use Logmein to control the Mac when I need to.

However rather than buying myself a new Windows PC this summer, I want to make more use of my Mac which basically does nothing 80% of the time, but that means moving it downstairs to my study.

Any thoughts?

I've come up with one way of achieving this.

You can set AirFoil Speakers as the source for AirFoil.

So if I have AirFoil on an old PC in my bedroom, taking the Sky input and AirPlaying it to AirFoil Speakers on the mac, I can then use Indigo to control AirFoil locally, airplaying to the Speakers elsewhere.

Not as ideal as if we could Indigo-control the remote AirFoil as there must be some lag in Airplaying in-then-out of the Mac.
