My local Hi-fi shop are selling off some VSX-922 models for cheap so i’m going pick one up… doesn’t get rave reviews but it does what i need it to do.. and looks like this plugin will work with it as even the bundled manual is a combo VSX-922/1122 with a few removed features… fingers crossed it’ll all work!

Sounds good. The VSX-922 is listed in the command definitions spreadsheet from Pioneer (same as the 1122), so it should work fine with the Pioneer Receiver plugin. Just select the VSX-1122-K as the model when creating a Pioneer Receiver device in Indigo. If you run into errors, let me know and we should be able to work them out.

The 1021 is the receiver I built the plugin around and is the only one I have here to test with directly. So yea, it'll definitely work.

No, but that's mostly because the VSX-1021-K doesn't have Pandora built-in.

Nuts, I thought it did . Have to return it when it comes and get one that does.

I thought all the networked units had Internet radio.
Could you recommend a model that does have Pandora
that I would be able to access it's stations?

I does have "Internet Radio" but not Pandora. Pioneer's Internet Radio is pretty much like a Shoutcast client. They pick a wide variety of genres and streaming internet radio stations (you can also specify your own via their web site). You can then pick from those internet radio streams. But that's not Pandora. I believe only the newer models like the 1122 include actual Pandora streaming. I don't think any of the 2011 models did.

While I believe that it is possible using a series of Remote Control Button presses using the plug-in, The Pioneer command set doesn't allow for direct selection of any Internet radio stations. It only provides a menuing system. Future versions of plug-in may provide some way of selecting menu items directly or continuing onto the next list of menu items, but this version does not yet support that. So you have to use a series of Remote Control commands.
