UPDATE: Though I haven't received an update from the NOAA rep, I noticed that the current condition and other missing data is now appearing in my NOAA Weather Plus device. Check your devices and see if you're seeing the same thing when you get a chance.

UPDATE (again):

I received a reply from the NOAA technology officer indicating that they've begun pushing the fix to all of the data farms responsible for providing the data feed and that we should see increasingly consistent (good) data in the feed.

Right now the NOAA website and my CP are reporting NO current data. All fields NA.

The forecast data is fairly reliable, but they seem to have problems with current data.

Yea, I know. Current condition data in my NOAA Weather Plus device goes in and out of being up to date and not having data. I'm just letting you know that they are actually working on it.

I had to change my lat long toa nearby airport to get data. Else I got:

Thanks for the report and for your workaround. I've seen this error once or twice myself, though it always goes away by the next time the device refreshes (every 15 minutes). Though I can't fix the bad data NOAA is giving out in these situations, I can change the error message to suggest ways to work around the error. The updated error message will appear in the next release.

Cool. Thanks for a great plugin. I've been hoping for forecast information. Is there a Wiki entry that explains what all these device states mean?

Glad you like it! As for the wiki entry. Sorry, I don't yet have instructions out for it. I'm planning on updating the plugin so the forecast state data are more intuitive. I think once that's done I'll start working on some instructions for the plugin. That could be a bit though as I've got one or two other plugins I'm working on as well (and a day job, and a family )

Been comparing the forecast temps on the NOAA site for my location versus
what the plugin is showing and am seeing completely different numbers.

Sometimes 20 degrees different. I'm using 1st High Temperature for today,
and so on for the next seven day forecast.

Anything I may be doing wrong?

Hi Carl.

Hmm... Odd. If you could turn on debugging in the NOAA Weather Plus plugin configuration (Plugins menu -> NOAA Weather Plus -> Configure) then reload the plugin (to force it to load the NOAA data again), then copy and paste the log into your reply, that would help. Also, I'll need to know the URL of the NOAA weather page you're looking at so I can compare it as well.

Just tried reseting my location to the longitude and latitude shown for my location shown on the NOAA site
and now I have "no data available" for the min and max temps. Forecast icons show ok. Odd.
