Russound plugin

Is any one interested in a Russound plugin?

I am very much interested and have done some work already. I'm new to the plugin game and am just learning python. Perhaps we can collaborate on this. I have some server code that reads from a tcp stream each message that is broadcast. I am also able to send a message in to the system to do just about anything.

So the easy part is done, the tough part is to build this in to a plugin and create an awesome front-end in Indigo.

How are you communicating with the systems? Is it on the net work? Ore Serial Bridge?
can you share your codes?

I have a Russound CAA66. I am switching to Indigo from HomeSeer and ISY. THere was a pretty good Russound plugin over there but I'm sure it would be nicer on Indigo. I would love to help on this plugin if there's anyway that I can.

I decided to take the plunge and write a Russound plugin. I'm new to Python and Indigo so we'll see.....

I've got the plugin shell working with configurations for:

Serial port
Number of zones
Number of controllers.
Number of Sources (with custom names)



I've also been able to make a plugin action to turn on or turn off a zone.

It's a start.....
