Mesh Map

Post by DaveL17 »

I've built a stand-alone MacOS application with Claude Code for a new way to look at a Z-Wave network mesh to learn more about it and to find ways to make improvements. It draws data via the Indigo HTTP API and is one-way -- it can't change your Indigo setup in any way. The image below shows a sample network with 100 nodes.

  • "Flat" and 3D views.
  • Larger nodes have more connections.
  • Dashed lines show links that aren't mutual.
  • Dotted lines show links to node IDs that don't exist anymore.
  • Customizable thresholds to show nodes with fewer links and battery health.
  • Store quick notes for individual notes that persist between sessions.
  • Several additional charts and reports.
  • Ability to take a snapshot of the network and look at the results of improvement efforts over time.
  • Works with multiple Indigo servers independently.
  • In-app help and more in-depth web documentation (bundled).
A quick demo video on YouTube (2:36 -- turn on subtitles for a few notes).

I'll be looking for a few testers to check it out soon. The executable will be certified and stapled by Apple, but probably not in Test Flight (I haven't made up my mind about that yet). Please let me know if you're interested in checking it out.
I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

I think you might be right about that, Korey. In all seriousness, thanks for the kind words--much appreciated. You've helped me out, too. Remember our Nevo remotes? Would love to meet you in person one day -- just not when it's 115º. People shouldn't have to live like that.
