This is a new plugin that enables support to the Home Connect suite of connected home appliances from a range of manufacturers.

It does require you to have registered your own application in the Home Connect Developer portal (as HA and Homebridge and others do) but its very quick, and once you have a client id its easy to setup.

This does then enable you to have a door open monitor to use with Duoristy's Appliance Monitor plugin,

It also enables you to monitor time remaining more precisely and also to be alerted when the program is done but the door has not been opened.

I’ve tested with a tumble drier and a dishwasher and it can read and control them well.

For dishwashers that power off after cycle and door opening it will now power them back in first before start.

I’m thinking the notification of programs finished and events like rinse aid or salt being low would be most useful as you normally turn on these once filled and have detergent or similar added but I guess you could also use this together with electricity pricing plugins to monitor for cheaper energy to run rather than just using the standard delay options on the machine.

But interested to hear how people use it and what other devices it controls. Automating the coffee machine would be cool.
