Migrated system doesn't start HKSL

I moved a great working IndigoDomo install from an old MacPro to a M1 mini in hopes of power savings.

Everything looks good, but the HomeKit Siri Link plugin doesn't start.

Now that I am looking at these messages it looks like this is processor dependent?

Hi

Yes essentially a lot of libraries will need their packages folder (which is within the indgoplugin Bundle) updated for the new M1 Architecture.

Everything else says the same.
Don’t delete any devices etc! As all comes to live once you make this change.

Easiest way will be to reinstall the plugin - double click and reinstall - I believe that deletes the Packages folder and reinstalls the correct ones.

(Alternatively you can delete packages folder -
Only the one called ‘Packages’ - within the plugin bundle and restart the plugin - which will automatically reinstall. Arguably this is quicker if doing a lot of plugins, which you may need to)

I did try reinstalling the plugin before I posted here. No Joy on that front.

After reading your reply I tried manually removing the "plugins" from /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2025.2/ which didn't help.

Is that what you meant?

Is the ujson.cpython reference something is installed by the plugin or is that added by someone else (I assume it's not part of vanilla Sequoia?)

ALSO please do keep in mind the previous system that hosted Indigo was a Mac Pro from 2008 running Big Sur with the amazing OpenCore Legacy patcher. This could make my system an edge case of trouble? The new system is supported (for now) running sequoia.

Yikes!

No - that is not what I meant! Removing the plugin folder is like removing the cars engine and wondering why it is not starting….

That would have done inrepairable harm - can you recover it from Bin or somewhere else????

Inside each .indgioplugin file which reside in Plugins. & Plugins (disabled) is a Packages folder. If you right click on the plugin file - the .indigoplugin file (in this case for HKLS) and show contents - you will see it there. It contains the Indigo installed libraries for the plugin. If you delete the contents of the Package folder and restart the plugin they will be res installed.

However - reinstalling the plugin will have the same impact. Did you double click the downloaded bundle - and say install anyway even though it is same version??

Your above posted code plus an uninstall and reinstall of Scipy and numpy made my plugin work.

Just for the record, I totally am the type to remove the engine from a car, but I don't expect it to run at that point.

I have the same problem, but unfortunately did delete the HomeKitLinK Siri after hours of frustration . I just migrated from a 2019 Mac Pro to a 2023 Mac Pro in anticipation of MacOs 27. Everything worked fine except HomeKitSiri did not load. Reinstalling HomekitSiri failed. I even reinstalled the latest version of Indigo (2025.2) without change. In desperation I deleted the HomekitSiri device after trying to reprogram it with unanticipated results (my bad). When I reinstalled the plugin, it still did not load, but now there is no "Bridge Device" option to select after reinstallation to create a new HomeKitSiri device in Indigo 2025.2!

Are there any options to proceed from here to get HomeKitSiri to load in Indigo?

That sounds a very frustrating experience for you! I think we have all been there.

Well a few comments here:

1. The same problem ? May well not be… but certainly hard to be sure…logging and details would help.
&&
2. I think the saying is your can’t unscramble an egg - and that is pretty much what you have done.

HKLS runs fine in both Intel Mac and Apple devices - indeed I have both running. So the issue isn’t HKLS - it the migration of your install., and likely old intel libraries left behind (a guess)

Delete the Homekitlinksiri plugin from enable or disabled folder.
And re run the Indigo Installer
And install again.
