Over reporting issues

Karl, was looking at my event log today and noticed I have one light that seems to be over reporting. Per previous post, I moved out the update interval but this one light is reporting several times in just a few seconds. I think I replaced this bulb recently with a newer version bulb.

Thoughts?

Karl, thanks. I enabled "Do Not Log any changes" and it's much more quiet now.

I have enabled the motion sensor capability but not for that specific light...any idea why only one light is doing this? Do I lose any functionality, like motion sensing triggers, if I don't log changes?

It is just logging

And you can switch off/on logging for each device individually or for all
Or none

It mostly for testing

And if you have the pro bridge you can watch the incoming messages in the
Plugin preference directory :
Open terminal

cd “directory name to plugin prefs”

tail -F filename

The file name is I believe messages.json

I am on the phone no access to the computer
you can check the file name in filer.

ALL changes in the bridge are received this way
On off. Brightness. New name. Enabled. Disconnected. New device movement. Alarm. …

the plugin reads these and updates the dev states accordingly.

they are send max one package(can be multiple updates) a second.
normally there are is a message every 10 secs or so in my setup, depending on if I move or not.

if there is no message for > 1 secs then the next message gets send immediately.

Karl, thanks again. Digging into the motion sensor capability...testing on one interior zone that then later was planing on testing it on the Hue MR16 bulbs for the landscape. I doubt they will work or supported but thought I give it a try as a means to dbl tap motion (one tap from a camera the second from an exterior zone)

Mine work very well- inside though.

I my larger not square living room I use 3 together.
