Hue, how to trigger on coming home in indigo

in the new hue bridge you can setup coming home automation.
in the API v2 there is no direct event for coming home as the hue app directly triggers the action, but you can trigger in indigo on a specific change.
1. setup a new zone (eg coming home). One that is not covered by any other action or used other wise.
2. in Hue automation/ location /coming home select the new scene (coming home) as the selected lights.
3. in indigo trigger on the scene (coming home device *); state "On/Off State" "becomes on"

triggering simply on "on" also triggers when the condition is met otherwise. ie the lamp is switch on
so
1. add a scene (coming come) with one lamp and set it to eg brightness = 34
2. then setup automation / coming home, select the scene just setup
3. in indigo trigger on the lamp with "on off state" becomes on, condition: brightness is equal 34
4. in "Actions" do what ever you want and add a delayed action (1 second to see if it actually works): set the scene off be ready for the next "coming home" event.

Sounds complicated, but it's actually simple to setup ~ 2 minutes with testing . the difficult part is the find the proper brightness and make sure that brightness is never set by other scenes. you could also add RGB value to the scene to make it more fool prove.

Does the Hue app need to be running on your iPhone (in the fore or background) for this to work?

It has to be active/background and Location Service has to be „on always“
Just try it out. It works but I have no real stats. Just walked out 3 times and came back.

I now use an unused hue power switch on off state to indicate presence
