iroomba status

Roomba i8: I’m not able to see the robot’s information via ‘get roomba info’, nor can I get its X and Y position. Is there a way to obtain the room status of the iRobot while it’s currently operating?

Ok.
Making some assumptions here that you have the plugin installed and have it running and have connected to a iroomba device.

The plugin display all that is available as a custom state - in the custom states section of the Indigo iroomba device.

The get roomba info - is not longer required as the connection is live and constantly updated (via push method, rather than poll method)

Are no longer reported a number of firmware versions ago, so unless you are on a very old firmware this will remain blank. (unless one day they return..)

x/y was never that useful as the room information is locked away on AWS (amazon web server) account. So whilst the app can display what room is being cleaned - it is getting this information from the web.

Given the plugin uses local information only (with exception of downloading room information once as per config screen) we do not have access to this.
