HAA currently does not have an option to import "Person" entities. There's lots of GeoTracking options in Indigo, so I didn't bother adding that to the plugin.

The only actual errors there are these lines:

To fix those, just edit the devices and save them (no changes needed). The other line is debug information, not an error. Just turn off debug logging unless directed to turn it back on.

Having some trouble getting Indigo to see a bulb has been added to HASS, possibly because that bulb had previously been in HASS under another name.

The error that shows here refers to the OLD name of the bulb. Even after multiple attempts to have the plugin Update Devices and reloading the plugin, I still don't get the new name for the bulb to show up. And I just noticed that the Indigo device that should be referencing the new name but instead is referencing the old name has been forced by indigo to be disabled.

Also when I tell the plugin to write device details to the log, should it appear in the event log window? My guess is it gets sent to the log file but not the event window. It def isn't showing up there.


EDIT: I disabled the indigo plugin, restarted HASS at the server, and on reenabling the plugin got:

Aside from this, I'm loving this plugin! I've been able to pull a bunch of nearly 10 year old Zigbee stuff out of storage and make it useful again.

Have you tried manually editing the entity name in the Indigo device configuration dialog? You don't have to use what the pop-up menu gives you.

Also, it's not simple to actually change an entity name in HA. You can change the display name, but the entity name is like the Indigo device ID. Once it's assigned, it's stuck.

Yes, the device details should show up in the main log window. If it's not, something's broken. I would need to see a debug log starting at plugin restart to figure out what the issue is.

On further investigation, the old GE Link bulb may be faulty. So no need for a reply right now as I test.

Seems like some sort of combination of problems involving the bulb being too far out of range, getting too hot (which may be an indication of other issues) and the plugin not noticing the change in name.

At the moment, with the bulb at my desk 15 feet from the Zigbee dongle, it's working right even though the plugin has a reference to a name that I'm no longer using in HASS. So maybe that "stuck" name was the problem.

I tried editing the debug log to redact personal info but it was gigantic and complex and I didn't feel confident the result would be clean or useful. In any case the problematic bulb is working now.

Like I said, it's my understanding that renaming the device does NOT change the entity name. You would actually have to delete the device, rename it it outside of HA (so HA sees the new name) and let HA create a new entity.

I'm finding a LOT of power in HASS. it's quite amazing. Thanks very much for this plugin!

There's an integration with iPhones that lets HASS see a lot of phone info, including "Focus". While many of the phone value sensors are visible to Indigo, Focus is not.

Is there some technical reason this isn't available? It seems like a natural one to trigger all sorts of automations with.

Also, for anyone looking for geolocation using phones, the HASS plugin seems like the easiest way to do it--and that's speaking as someone who already uses the Unifi plugin for it, FindFriendsMini for it, and has tried various beacon solutions too!

(in the attached screen shot "thirteen" is my iPhone, and if Focus was available, it should be on the menu.)

Got me momentarily excited, and I have checked the data that we get for devices from icloud - just now - address has returned, but everything else is the same.

I would presume - although it is a complete guess after a quick google - that this extra stuff is from running the HA iphone Companion App? Giving it access to everything? Running it always in the background etc. Pretty high security risk I would guess. It seems this phone App then can access whatever an App is allowed to and report back to you and …

If this isn’t the case - let me know and happy to have a look where info comes from.

The HAA plugin only supports a limited set of HA device classes that have a reasonably direct counterpart in Indigo. While it’s not that difficult to add more classes, what to map them to in Indigo is the issue. I’m certainly open to adding more mappings, but I’m not going to add dozens of them. I’d need to see some sort of proposal of what the mapping should look like.

The newest plugin seems to have missed populating the pull down and Entities not populating the entity pull down data field inside the device window I have only a couple of devices instead of the like 15-20 devices that should come up. what's the best way to keep the entries but update to contain them in the pull down?

What device types are missing from the list? As described above, only a limited set of device types are currently supported.
