Shall I start by deleting the thermostats on the ecobee internet website?

No, why would you want to do that? Then you'd have to add them again before the plugin could get any data.

Just trying not to screw things up.
I can't install the beta 2.2.3 because indigo thinks its 2.2.2, and already installed.

Download the Zip again, I fixed that.
