Using Siri to turn on a device for N minutes thru HKB

We use HomePods to access the Indigo via HKB. Anyway to tell it to do an action for a specific period of time like turn on the porch light for 5 minutes, then shut it off?
The time period would be a variable.

You could add Shortcuts to the mix. Write a Shortcut that turns on the device and sets a timer; and another that turns it off when the timer is done.

Good call, as I hadn't looked at shortcuts at all since they were released. Only issue is it is currently only on iOS and the only device I have is an iPhone. Makes development a little difficult. I have read it is in the Catalina beta so hopefully they will have a MacOs version shortly.
