I will complete the other change and then upload a revised copy to the Indigo Plugin Store.

The new version will output a message if it doesn't know about a LIFX device. It will be of the form:

LIFXLAN [discover_devices] discovered an unknown LIFX device with product code: '99'. Device's MAC is '11.22.33.44.55.66' and IP Address is '192.168.1.100'. Plugin is unable to manage this device. Please report this on the support forum.

Should speed things up a bit for the future.
