i am still seeing deviceinNestRange as true no matter where i go even when i enter a new geofence.

i also do not get my trigger working (email/message) when i leave my homeGeofence.

i have set up 2 schedules to change the timer no need to check every 5 mins when i am asleep

Yep - I can see why - there's a small coding error on GeoLocation. It will be fixed in the next release tomorrow.

I would release the fix tonight but I've added reverse geo lookup to the features and the device now displays the actual address it's at based on the Latitude and Longitude. I would like to test that overnight.

Here are some screenshots - I zipped them as I think there is a lot of phone information that may not be wise to publish.
Let me know if you want more info - it definitely appears that code thinks both phones are in the geofence - if I'm understanding correctly.

I wondered why you'd sent those files... I tell my kids... don't open unknown files - worried that they might contain viruses. Sorry I should know better

I think I know the root cause of the problem - it's a minor logic error on the geofence calculation. I think it affects both your and artpics results. It was a difficult bug to spot so I'm very grateful for all the data.

Let me test the fix tonight (along with some new functionality) and I'll upload a new version tomorrow evening - UK time.

ok great no rush also as a feature request can we have another field that tells us how many miles from the home geo.
then we can set up a trigger i.e.: >300 miles set house to vacation mode. i also like to graph

I'm really struggling with testing this because of the battery life issues. When I enable the plugin, it is enough to pretty much run our phones down before we get home (wife's a teacher and doesn't have much opportunity to stop and charge, and I simply don't have a charger at work, becauseI've never needed one before.

Someone else posted a topic about the FollowMee API. I added that app and activated it this afternoon, and it does seem to be a little better on batter. Flipping through the settings on FollowMee, there is one setting for 'GPS Power' to see if you want to use full power, or medium or low. It appears to have some other battery saving logic. I think with the logic built into the phone, and then polling back to a server when there's a change, it can rely on the phone to know it doesn't have to do anything if it hasn't moved in a while... etc.. I'd suspect that given the intended use of Find my iPhone, that thing almost certainly jacks GPS up to full power every time it polls (My phone gets warm when the plugin is enabled).

Anyway, just a few observations and thoughts. All the work is greatly appreciated. Hopefully I'll find a sweet spot with polling intervals, etc.. to preserve some battery life.

Hopefully the changes I'm making will help. I'm adding dynamic intervals based on readings so the phone doesn't get polled if it's not moving within a tolerance. You'll be able to manage each phone separately and also conserve battery life of the battery level gets low by increasing polling time according to a customisable battery level filed. For example if battery reaches 50% then increase poll to 10 Mins... If the phone is in charge then reduce pooling interval... If it reaches 30% stop polling...

Let's see how those features go.

Thanks for being so persistent I do appreciate and I still think we can crack this. Version 0.3.01 was better but I think the next release will be much more intelligent.

Actually that's an easy request. To calculate the bearing to the home geo I work out that number anyway... I just don't don't make it available. I'll add it to the next release this weekend.

one more thing i am seeing.

my schedule 9:00am set timer for 300 =5 mins i normally leave for work
schedule 2: 1:00am set timer for 3000 = 5hours i am normally a sleep at home by then

the last 3 mornings when i awake before 9:00am the device is red instead of green in my device listings.

also when i leave home (200m) no alert (email) but when i enter my work geo i get 2 emails.

installed fine seems to be working. Great job on all the new features i like the street address and home geo distance.

I don't get any devices I can select from.

I get an email from apple :Your Apple ID (xxx) was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser.
in the log I get

what am I doing wrong ?

Karl, are you using V0.4.15, it was only a few mins after the original V0.4.13?
And did you restart the plugin? I had a few issues similar to yours at first, but its working correctly now.

Yep - that was the final issue I was working on this weekend. I've resolved the NEST issue along with a couple of other minor bugs.

4. start server
5. download plugin and install
6. add account info, got email from apple : logged in fro browser ..
7. account info turns green
8. add iDevice : Devices on Account is grey = no devices available.
