Recommended Z-Wave Lock?

The Yale lock arrived and added to Indigo without a problem.

I did try to mess around with sending raw Z-Wave commands to add users, but no luck. I did get things that Indigo can already to do work (like lock the door: [98 1 255]) But add user didn't work, at least not the way I tried it. I tried [99 1 10 1 2 2 2 2] and [99 1 10 1 0x050 0x050 0x050 0x050] both should set user 10 to PIN 2222, but no luck. I was able to delete the PIN for user 10 with [98 1 10 0], so I assume I just have a syntax error.

For PIN 2222, try:

[99 1 10 1 50 50 50 50]

That's interesting. It worked (so thanks for that!). I was also able to delete the PIN with the 99 1 10 0 command. Indigo confirms removing the PIN, but not adding it.

Also, the log entry is confusing to me:

I'm not if the module isn't reporting back the PIN add or if it Indigo just isn't logging it. If you turn on debug logging (in Z-Wave Configure) then you can see what raw messages the lock is sending.

Indigo always logs raw commands in hexadecimal (and does not prefix them with 0x).

For whomever decides to undertake this, FYI, Indigo doesn't set the current date/time on the lock and that's required for timed access.

My Wishlist:

- User PIN management: Keep a database of 4 & 8 digit PINs and be able to add & delete to all enrolled locks from Indigo. If accessible via an Indigo Schedule, this would allow temporary entrance for contractors, without having to use the onboard temporary access command. Almost everyone would use this since PIN management via the keypad is painful.

- Set the device specific features (automatic relock, all code lockout, privacy, etc.

I can think of two people who will test the code.

Having glanced at the PDF, setting pins and the other features should be ok.

I'm not volunteering to maintain a database of codes in the first release, but I'll provide ability to set and clear the codes yourself.
