New Email+ device issue

Hi all,
I've had an SMTP device set up for a long time with no issues.

I now want to have triggers on incoming emails so I set up an imap device. (I use FastMail) Triggers are working but now all incoming messages get marked as read shortly after receipt, so I no longer get the unread messages badge on my devices. With a Mac mini, MBP and an iPhone it has been a chore to troubleshoot. I finally found that if I disable the imap device on email plus, things go back to normal. I don't see any settings in my FastMail account relating to "Leave as Unread " or "Mark as Unread After Downloading", or anything like that.

What am I missing?

Nothing. The action of the plugin fetching the message causes it to get marked as read on the server. The plugin isn't explicitly doing it.

Best practice is to use a separate email account for Indigo so it's not affecting your normal emails. Also, if you're like many people, with a large number of messages in your inbox, the plugin will be quite slow at scanning them for new mail.
