having the cam numbers will be neat.

[the install is at a remote location to which 'back to my Mac' access comes and goes apparently at random. I was able to test your last version remotely, but looks like a few more days before this one.]

I've had a chance to test the new version and its working well, and the error messages are reasonable.

One artefact of the stitching methodology appears to be that cameras with different resolution aren't scaled adaptively (my newer cams are HD but the older ones not. So the older JPEG cams are appearing as a thumbnail rather than full screen width). A minor issue, but not sure if security spy image request could ask for standardised output to mask this?

one other minor UI issue: there seems to be no way to reduce the number of cams being stitched once a given camera has been selected once (ie, you can change the selected cams, but the null option can't be accessed).

I've posted 1.2.0 that fixes the way to reduce the number of cameras. Variable selections are now available via lists rather than using the %%v: notation (but the previous use of this method will still work). It also hides your SecuritySpy login/password from the Indigo log.

I also have the problem where the width of the images are different. I've tried a few methods to fix this and it's not as easy as I would have thought. I may continue to work on it.

Max width is supported in v1.3.0. Let me know how it works for you.

Hi, this looks really cool and I tried it out today - I have it all set up and I'm also running Security Spy - I would like to send myself an animated GIF when security spy detects motion. I have looked through the documentation but I don't understand how to set up the action to save the images into a GIF so I can point to it with pushover.

Any help with setting this up is appreciated :-)

You’ll want to create a variable in Indigo for the image you want to save/refresh when the motion event occurs. Then, set up a trigger for the motion event. In the actions, have my plugin reach to SecuritySpy and get an image. If your cameras are set up in Indigo, this should be a simple thing to set up. Check the box to create a GIF, and you’ll likely want to limit the width of the image to reduce size. Select the amount of seconds to capture. Choose the variable you created to safe the GIF. Test it, make sure the resulting size is < 2.5MB.

Then, in your screenshot you attached, use the variable syntax %%v:VARIABLEID%%

Put your variable ID for the image location in there. Test the pushover notification.

Hope this helps.

I get the pushover notification but no image is attached - I put a 5 sec delay to hold up the pushover event so not sure why I'm not getting the gif?

They are 4k cameras but assuming I have the size right (160px) - I don't think it sould be too big (but not sure how to check)?

Help.... and thanks for making the plug-in - this is exactly what I wanted to accomplish with my notification and since my wife has an android phone I can get it set up for her too!!!!!

Still not working - is the size in pixels, points, inches, mm, cm, feet or meters or something else?

It’s in pixels.

Have you run the SS Helper action on its own, and checked your local disk for the image? Make sure the variable that contains the location is the full path.

Sorry for the confusion - the action is the one in the image below - is that correct?

Since I have selected to use a variable (not a path) I see no way to input a path string.

When I look at the variable (in indigo) it is indicating "no value" but I'm not sure what that means - I have only ever used variables for binaries or actual values.

When I click on the question mark in on the SS helper dialog action I get sent to a 404 error?
