Hi Richard

I appreciate your further development. I just want to relay some great improvements in stability performance with Indigo 2.023.1 and Phidegets 22. I live in small coastal town where power failures.is not uncommon due to coastal storms. With Phidget 12, after a reboot from a power failure recovery, it took manual rebooting of all theSBC's and toggling the phiddgets plugin to get these' devices to handshake with the Indigo server. With the Phidgets 22 and Indigo 20-23.11, after a power failure recovery, , the server rebooted and all the phidget devices were automatically immediately back on line. No issues.!!

I am exited because sensor that gives a -0 to 5 volt or 4 to 20 mA signal now can be interfaced to all m devices in Indigo!! Projects glalore !!

What did notice is the Rachio Plugin and the Z wave interface and to be manually loaded. I had to reboot the server to get the Indigo Reflector going again;. . My server is online wit Starlink with a back up of a very slow cable network.. Maybe Jay might want to comment on this observation.

Hi Richard,

I'm excited to get this going. I have installed the Phidgets 22 libs and the plugin and rebooted. I set my devices to the appropriate boards. My I/O devices seem to be generally working except for one which for some reason is occasionally detached despite being set up the same way as the others and previously working. However, the temp/humidity board is detached. It is definitely being read by Phidgets as it appears in the control panel.

I have deleted the old ph 21 settings control pane and rebooted, btw.

Both boards appear in the Bonjour pane, but the temp/humidity remains detached. A couple of questions: the actual board definition does not include I/O board or analog input, etc. It asks for a specific type of input or output, and requests a serial number. I tried entering 127.0.0.1 and a generic "input" for the temp/humidity board, such as "temp" or "humidity" and no luck. I am not sure if the boards are "network" or "attached" and I do understand you want them on the network. Just not sure how to get there.

could this be a failing board? the debug seems to indicate "no response" even though the board is seen by the plugin and is directly plugged into the computer.

I subbed in a different board. While the Phidgets CP is seeing the board, it is not registering with the plugin. So I don't think it is a hardware issue, I'm just missing something in setup.

Hi Richard,

We had discussed hooking up a two wire water meter to a DAQ1 1400 VINT hub. Currently the recommendation from Phidgets is to hook up the sensor to Ground and Digital, with a 10k pull-up resistor connected between 12/24v and Digital.

What is the proper device choice to access the VINT hub and choose the input?

The specifics of the device configuration will depend on how you have wired the DAQ1400. But, here is a picture of my setup here. This counts pulses from a flashing warning light .

Thanks, Richard, for the Phidgets VINT 1400_0 setup advice; worked well..

I created a test rig with some adapters and a garden hose with a "calibrated" bucket so I could repeatedly run 4 gallons of water. Considering differing ramp up times for me turning the valve and "guesstimating" when I hit the tape mark for 4 gallons, the frequency count came out fairly tight. For sessions 1-4 the total counts were 1370, 1360,1380 and 1355. So the frequency count function works and is repeatable.

I'll work on triggers to log tenths and gallons. Should be able to reliably track water use and leaks. The good thing about this meter is the replaceable sensor, which just screws in. I look forward to having them installed soon.

I have VITHub with an digital input board on port 0 and digital output board on port 3.

The input board is seen by the phidget server and gives back True/False correctly. Same with output board.

However when I created a device for the digital input... serial# + channel + port it comes up with "detached".

Screenshots attached.

Am I missing something....?

And thanks for all your efforts. Mighty awesome.

The 16 port i/o board is not a VINT device, you need to uncheck that box
