RFID key fob sensor

Post by SMUSEBY »

I have a system that uses a Phidgets single board computer to monitor 2 RFID key fob sensors with USB connections to the computer; Indigo uses the same single board computer to operate the locks. For some unknown reason, the computer becomes disconnected from the locks and then reconnects, at which time, it operates the door locks. If it's windy, a small probability risk becomes a lot more dangerous. Furthermore, the Phidgets plug-in is no longer supported.
I need an alternative. Reading the forum, it looks as though I could operate the locks with the ZWave Lock Manager.
My question is how can I get the RFID USB information into Indigo without having to rely on the Phidgets plug-in? (I don't think there is an issue with the computer).

I'll take this one: if a phidgets device is operating the lock, then it is not a Z-Wave device, so this plugin won't work with it. This is not the appropriate forum to ask this question, so I'd recommend that you repost your question in the How Do I forum.
