+1 for on/off status
Re: Randomized Lighting Plugin
Trying to get this plugin working. My question is as follows:
I've created 2 "devices" of the type "Random Lighting Group". I've then created a Trigger which includes the action type "Start Random Lighting". However, there doesn't seem to be any way to select which of the random lighting group devices it should activate. Is this a universal trigger that automatically enables all random lighting groups?
Running Indigo v7.0.3

Re: Randomized Lighting Plugin
The plugin wasn't written to support more than one random lighting group; I'm not sure at this point whether it picks the first or all groups to run.
I haven't seen the author active for a long time, and I think from his last comment here (even though in jest) that he's passed on responsibility for it.
It should be easy enough to add support for multiple devices, depending how it's written - i'm happy to have a look if the author doesn't pop by.

Re: Randomized Lighting Plugin
Hi
I am an enthousiastic user of the plugin, but since the most recent update of Indigodomo it doesn’t work anymore. Would it be possible to make it working again?
That would be great!
Thanks

Re: Randomized Lighting Plugin
Actually porting the plugin to Python3 shouldn't be too hard, the problem is that the original developer didn't include any kind of license in the package, and it wasn't posted on GitHub or anything like that. But he also didn't put a copyright notice in his code either. So I'm not sure what would be legal to modify and republished his plugin.

Thanks for your reply Joe!
If the original developer does not update this plugin and he is not traceable I would be delighted as probably other users of the plugin if you would be able to update it. And since you couldn’t find any thing you described it is not against any rules, I suppose.
For me it would be a big help to make the house safer when I am away.
Kind regards,
Mirko
