Help with Autelis Jandy plugin

Post by roquej »

The plugin seems to be abandoned per viewtopic.php?f=144&t=8864&start=150

As the plugin needs a much needed update to support new hardware version and to address communication issues, I am willing to provide the Autelis hardware if anyone would be willing to take this over.

Anyone?

What issues are you having?

The plugin is running fine for me with my RS8 version T system, I have modified it a bit thou.. as per this post.

Other than the variable pump data not being reported back, but I use GhostXML plugin for that.

Korey,

Thank you for following up. I am using the version you changed. and also the XML trick to obtain the pump speed.

My challenge is that I am getting sporadic plugin errors and craches.

Using Intelliflow VS

Weird, I have never had it crash in all the years of using it?

Have you reached out to Nick the plugin author?

He is still active on the forums especially in his Sonos plugin forum.

Help with Autelis Jandy plugin

Sorry for the late response. I was traveling over the weekend.

I posted a message last year on the plugin forum, but didn’t get a response. Will try as you suggested and contact him directly.

Thank you!

Installed Jandy iAqualink and then used the Home Assistant iAqualink integration with Node-Red to drive virtual devices via MQTT. It works well, but I am hoping for an iAqualink plugin.

Well, we had an electrical storm in Atlanta and it killed my Autelis box. So now no hook up to the pool at all.

Could you post your solution in a little more detail? Perhaps some scripts and instructions on how to get there?

Thanks very much!

Just so folks know, I'm taking a look at updating the Jandy plugin to work with Python 3. No guarantees, but so far it doesn't seem to be too bad.

Give me a few TCs to rummage through the code.

Thanks… unfortunately my Autelis device died hard, so I am out of luck on that one.

On the bandwagon for the iAqualink plugin!

Hi Dave - did you get anywhere updating this plugin?

Thanks!

I have no memory of that, but apparently so. :)

Have a look at this release and see if it'll work for you. It's not been widely tested, so I'd suggest baby-sitting it until you're sure it works properly.
