Well it means that no data is being returned from your device. Basically the car analogy is it is not starting.
Thats a pretty broad issue.
Could be:
Network IP settings
Network firewall Mac/OSX settings
Firmware of device upgrade and now no longer compatible
Incorrect device setup settings.
Incorrect IP address entered into Settings page
Security issues with connections/https etc/SSL/libraries of Mac
Wifi- Network connection
Among a host of issues, which I could probably keep generating for the next hour or so….
Or you have enabled the do-not-enabled button, which was the earlier and similar issue here you had?

Failing the above(s) - the device may have had its firmware upgraded and is no longer compatible with the plugin device. If thats the case there is not much I can do. Version 7 which is supported added a host of cloud needed login aspects - I sure there are a few forum posts here about it until I supported it.
It is possible you are late to this firmware change - but not much info here to go on.
As per the last thread - you need to do some basic troubleshooting, You should in the Envoy-S device try the Debug - log all endpoints button after setting this device up and see what the output is.
You best hope is something simple like an IP address change/user error somewhere, or the firmware upgraded means its like an Envoy-S device now and changing device types may work…
I away for a few weeks, so won’t have any change to look at it for a while.
Best of luck
