Energy cost

Post by Stoutjesdijk »

Hi all,

I would love to read about energy savings that have been realized using smart TRV strategies. I myself am not having much luck so far. How do YOU balance comfort and savings?

Cheers
Mark

I find that using TRV in an unconstrained way to keep all my rooms at the desired temperature is not very energy efficient. Since there are nine rooms, it is likely that at least one of them requires heat at any one moment. As a result, the boiler is almost always active, except perhaps from late evening until about 6am.

Does anyone already have experience with some sort of constraint? I am thinking about intermittent activation/deactivation of the boiler, with intervals that depend on the outside temperature. But I'm very interested in all other energy-saving strategies that people have implemented. Please share!

Green greetings,
Mark
