Shims feature request

The Shim device offers options to display battery level, energy usage, and power load. It would be nice to have an option for an arbitrary state name. For example, I have a device with: rssi, voltage, humidity. I can display those using one of the built-in state names. But, it would be nicer to properly name them. BTW, this is Value Sensor Device.

You mean when the sensor type is set to generic, you want to be able to append a custom label to the value for the UI?

Here is a screenshot of what I what I see today. I am using the hard-coded power load property to display signal strength. I would like to change the label to something other than "Current power."

That’s generated by the Indigo client. I could change the units displayed, but not the label.

The right way to do it is to create another sensor device just to display the rssi value.
