Mitsubishi HVAC Ductless Air Conditioning and Heating Units

This forum is a place to post questions about doing things that aren't necessarily Indigo specific (though they could be). For instance:
  • How do I automate the following HTTP POST?
  • How can I restart my router periodically?
  • How can I do whole house audio?

It's 10/2022 now and I am also looking at a mitsubishi heat pump setup for my home.

It looks to me like there is no good way to control this Mitsubishi Model# MHK2 remote easily from Indigo?

I am thinking I will forgo the wireless setup and just wire the unit to my Venstar T1900, which id already connected to Indigo and controls my existing (ancient) oil burner>?

Is there any downside to this? Or am I wrong and is there a slick way to connect to the MHK2?

Sorry if I piggybacked or stole a thread.

I thought it was kind of appropriate, so apologies if that's poor form.

I really would love to hear from someone about the thermostat possibilities for running my soon to be arriving Mitsubishi heat pump via Indigo?

As I stated above I have a working Venstar tstat , which at this point appear to be my theory....

Thanks for any other ideas or feedback!

I have recently installed 3 Mitsubishi heat pumps. It has been a frustrating process:
The main floor one is managed by Ecobee / Indigo. Seems to work
The mini split in the basement is controlled by Cielo
The upstairs one in now on the Kumo Cloud; for a month, the installer tried to meet my request for Ecobee with an Airzone unit between Ecobee and the Mitsubishi. The Airzone never worked.
It is not clear to me why the upstairs unit is not Ecobee compatible, but presumably it is a less flexible Mitsubishi product.
My hope is that some clever person will come up with an Indigo interface for the Kubo Cloud, or perhaps another Indigo compatible thermostat.

It's a bit DIY, but I have two Mitsubishi heat pump heads controlled by Indigo, via ESPHome.

I used this ESPhome module on some small circuits I threw together (directions are in there): https://github.com/geoffdavis/esphome-m ... hiheatpump

and then wrote this plugin to control them: https://www.indigodomo.com/pluginstore/289/

It works pretty well!

I'm OK with DIY, but this sounds over my head.
Is there someone or some service that can do this for me?

Dude, just checked your github, I don't have this heat pump, but your documentation around things like your considerations of the UART is awesome.

I'm flattered, but that's not mine! Geoff Davis gets all the credit. I just patched a few little things in it.
