Announcing Indigo Touch 3.0

Indigo Touch 3.0 is now available in the App Store (most of you who have automatic updates enabled have probably received the update already).

NOTE: This version requires iPhone OS 14.0 or higher, but is compatible with Indigo 7 and later

This new version of Indigo Touch improves performance, security, and reliability:

• Compatible with the new local HTTPS option for the Indigo Web Server in Indigo 2024.1.0+
• Updated to support bonjour detecting and connecting to HTTPS servers
• Updated to support all iOS device screen dimensions
• Improved automatic reconnection to server in several cases (server restarting, network glitches, etc.)
• Improved communication error reporting
• Improved performance in a variety of areas
• Fixed crashing bug related to using larger iOS font sizes

A quick word about the iOS/iPadOS version change: it is nearly impossible to release newer versions of iOS/iPadOS software using Apple's development environment/platform that run on really old versions of iOS/iPadOS. In this case iOS 14 (released over 4 years ago) is the furthest back we could go given Xcode/SDK restrictions. If you have an older iOS device that cannot run iOS 14 that had Indigo Touch installed, then you should still have access to the older version - it will work with Indigo 2024.1.0, but only when local HTTPS is disabled for the Indigo Web Server.
