Reset Airfoil

Post by makedrinklas »

Hi there, I've seen some posts regarding deleting speakers that are "old". I have the same issue as I've reset some of the HomePods when they didn't appear to be responding correctly. Worth a shot.

However, I would like to refresh the plugin in Indigo as I have multiple duplicates, there appears no way to determine which are real and which are ghost devices.

If I may ask, could you provide a single, step by step method to clear Indigo 2023.2.0 and start over and have just one each of the current HomePods connected?

If I've included anything personally identifiable that I shouldn't have in the screen cap, please delete.

Thank you.

If you want to start over, just delete the main Airfoil Instance(s) - which will also delete all dependencies. Identify those by the 5th column from the right on your image.

If you want to just pick and choose which speakers to delete, use the Plugins->Airfoil Pro->Permanently Delete Speakers... menu item.

Thanks Jay. I was in fact able to figure out which ones weren't active by the "unavailable" under the State column. A bit of renaming and it's all good.

Also, just to note, some speakers kept coming back in Indigo, so I did disable plugin, quit Airfoil, and restarted the Indigo server after deleting the speaker instances.
