New iOS

Post by Brian Gaiser »

Hey guys, I’m beta testing iOS [
Your app runs ok, but the tool bar is messed up: [

It always comes up off center in the middle. Prob needs to be recompiled with the new Xcode

Whatever you meant to post clearly didn't work. Wanna try again?

Wow. I used Taptalk for that. Broke…

What I wanted to say is I’m on iOS 18.1 beta and Indigo touch works with one interface issue. The tool bar seems to be floating in the middle and off center to the right. See attached screenshot.

Unfortunately, there's no screenshot attached.

It's unlikely that anything will be done to respond to an iOS beta issue since the OS itself is still in development. Matt and Jay generally discourage using betas (and recently-released OS updates) with Indigo as Apple has a history of introducing new regression problems with each release.

Did you send beta program feedback to Apple to let them know there may be a UX display bug in 18.1?

Yes. I did also notify Apple. As you say - not a production problem... just helping you guys get a "jump" on potential issues. Again - probably just need to recompile with the new Xcode when the time comes. (but it is coming pretty quickly as this is almost the public beta).

Ok, can see that one. We'll watch this as the beta progresses.

Unfortunately, a simple recompile generally won't fix something like that. Something in the API has changed, so unless they fix it we'll probably have to do a workaround.
