Thanks for the great plug-in. I figured I would use the Rachio temperature device state instead of my outdoor Oregon Scientific sensor read by RFX. However, this morning it was about 72° outside, but the Rachio temperature reading was 85. I checked the reading in the device properties pane and it was in fact reading 85°. I have a Tempest unit which is linked to the Rachio,, and that read correctly around 70°.
I don’t think there is a configuration error,, and the timestamp in the device properties is current.
Any thoughts as to why the Rachio would be recording/holding an errant temperature? Is that something intrinsic to the Rachio unit or does it need to poll the Tempest or current weather conditions to get an accurate reading?

Re: Rachio showing wrong temperature
I don't think the Rachio controller actually has any kind of temperature sensor. I think it's reporting the forecast temp for your location that it uses for it's predictive irrigation algorithms.
What did the Rachio mobile app report at the time?
The plugin doesn't know anything about the Tempest system.

Re: Rachio showing wrong temperature
If you have a Rachio and a Tempest, it is possible to tell the Rachio app about the Tempest, in which case the Rachio app will report the current temperature that the tempest is reading. This happens independently of any plug-in (The two companies have a collaboration, both devices must be cloud connected I believe). I’ve attached a screenshot of my Rachio app showing the Tempest as an associated device.

Well, the Rachio plugin is also using the cloud API. If they're linked, it's possible the API will report the Tempest data. YMMV.
