Water valve and I/O LInc 2450

A few years back I installed a valve from Smarthome 70275 (seems to have been discontinued) to connect with an IO Linc 2450 to have a water shut off. I finally connected it, but Indigo reads open when the vale is closed and closed when it is open. How do I reverse this?

You don't. Indigo does not have a native "valve" type. You're actually seeing "off" for "open" and "on" for "closed", right? My Z-wave water valve has the same issue.

Actually, I take that back. You can't change it in Indigo, but you could wire in a relay to reverse the signals between the I/O Linc and the valve itself.

Or you could use the Masquerade plugin to create a pseudo-device which has the opposite values.

I vote for Masquerade!!! I run into scenarios like this all the time.

Just a reminder that Indigo does have a binary setting for the Insteon 2450 module in the extra settings sub-dialog that is called "Legacy Input Sensor Logic (OFF is open, ON is closed).

So if you check that (or uncheck it as the case may be) it should invert the Open/Closed states that you see.
