Zooz ZSE29 Outdoor Motion Sensor

I have had this sensor for a couple days and am wrestling with getting rid of false triggers.
I have Parameter 1 set to 120 seconds.
Parameter 2 is set to 50.

It's nearly constantly "on". When it does go "off", it has been so far, only a few seconds before it triggers "on" again.

it's facing south, over my driveway and the sun is pretty bright.

The 2 parameters mentioned are shown in the attached shot of the paper instructions that came with the sensor. I could find no on-line downloadable manual that
has the advanced settings section.

Anyone that has any experience or opinions on this thing, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Based on that screen shot it doesn't look like the motion sensor has any sensitivity setting. The lux/brightness (parm 2) is related to the luminosity sensor, which I think might be used to define a daylight/night trigger for when motion is sent? Parm 1 is just used to determine the frequencies the motion messages will be sent (not the sensitivity). The manual might have manual tips for modifying the sensitivity, such as how you position/point the sensor.

Yes, there is no sensitivity setting that I can tell. I think I isolated the issue of the frequent triggers....it seems to have been triggering on the movement of a flag that was off our porch. I’ll make some adjustments and proceed with the settings as they are and update any new findings.

Sounds like it's an infrared detector so if it is pointed south the sun is a great source for infrared. Try putting the detector on the other side of the driveway so it pointed north. It will work best if it is pointed at a stable back round, like your house.
