Decent espresso

I thought the community would be interested in this novel espresso machine. It is loaded with sensors and is software controlled with incredible precision. I recently purchased one. Lots of interesting things going on.

The YouTube link is a good place to start…

Re: Decent espresso

Looks nice. I like their sensibilities--an espresso machine that nice which is "decent".

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Decent espresso

Can it be automated? From the video its looks like it can't?

I wouldn't mine a machine that can make a perfect espresso right when I wake up.

Automation may be coming. Look at the Instagram account… Lots of fun things in the works.

That said, since one wants espresso hot might be tough if you were just a minute late getting to the kitchen… :-)

Re: Decent espresso

I totally disagree.
Espresso is only really good and satisfying if it’s done with your own hands That’s one of the areas I shall not automate. [HOT BEVERAGE]️

Re: Decent espresso

The first thing I do in the morning is fire up my espresso machine. Takes a bit to warm up. Now thinking about it, this might be worth automating. Hmmmmmmm.....

Any suggestions on z-wave 20A GFI outlet? (Yes, mine requires 20A to run and it is close enough to the sink to require GFI)

Re: Decent espresso

are you sure about 20amps? That would require a special plug / outlet. Normal plugs only go up to 10/15?

Karl

ps am using a Smart Switch 6 (ZW096), that shows max 15amps switching

Quite sure. It is a special 20A outlet and the machine has a 20A plug.

Also, I want the outlet it self to be switchable, I prefer not to have a plug in module. (there is also very little space between the outlet and the machine)

Is it a dedicated outlet? If so, you could swap the breaker for a GFI one. That would make finding a controllable outlet a little easier.

Yes it is. Good idea, I haven't thought of that.. In the same vein, I guess I could put a z-wave switch in line in the electrical closet. This should make it even easier to find. Any suggestions welcome.
