Upgraded today to 7.3. getting the following error with the HomeSeer 200+ switches. Setting LED mode into either normal or custom mode. Get the same error.

Re: Indigo 7.3

I actually ran into this same bug earlier today. We'll get a 7.3.1 released in the next couple of days to take care of it. Thanks for the report.

Re: Indigo 7.3

I'm testing the new scene brightening, dimming commands. I'm using a scene consisting of two lamplinc's.

The commands seem to work, but each time I execute one of the commands, I see some errors in the logs. For example, when I try the "dim by 3% command" from a control page, I see this in the logs:
Code: Select all
WebServer                       request to execute "_preview_control page" control #6 from 192.168.1.253
Sent INSTEON                    "PowerLinc Interface" dim by 3 (scene 19 - FR Lights slow ramp)
Error                           should never send dim direct command
Sent INSTEON                    " group Family Room Torchiere Lamp North" dim by 0 (scene 19 cleanup)
Error                           should never send dim direct command
Sent INSTEON                    " group Family Room Torchiere Lamp South" dim by 0 (scene 19 cleanup)

I see similar error messages when using "start brightening", and "start dimming" commands as well.

Re: Indigo 7.3

I am seeing a couple of issues, some of which I believe you are already aware of.

1. Weathersnoop doesn't work. I have also filed a bug report with Boisy, no response yet. Appears to be an XML problem?

2. Action Collection does not work. I am unable to configure new action collection actions, such as inserting a device state into a variable. Existing AC's just don't work
Error Action has not been completely configured

Any word on an update to Indigo to fix?

thanks!

Re: Indigo 7.3

1) Yes, they know about this issue. The WeatherSnoop plugin is now being maintained by them.

2) This is the first we've heard of this so it's not a widespread issue. Can you give us Event Log entries (copy/paste) with any applicable errors?

Re: Indigo 7.3

Hi Jay, Thanks for the quick reply to my post. I didn't get notified of the update to the thread... need to figure out what I disabled.

Anyway, I have a ticked filed with Boisy about weathersnoop and no word yet... UPDATE. Immediately after posting this I see an update to Weathersnoop (4.1.9) and the XML error is gone.

The Action Collection issue was that it failed to start. I missed that during the migration. It seems INDIGOplotD has been taking a long time to start. Disabling that plugin and everything comes up roses during a server restart.

I'll debug that some more.

Thanks again,

Re: Indigo 7.3

Indigoplotd reads the sql database when starting. You can set it to only read the last 2 days. Then it is MUCH FASTER

Indigo 7.3.1 is now available and should fix this problem.

This one is also fixed in Indigo 7.3.1.

Re: Indigo 7.3

hi guys! I just upgraded to Indigo 7.3.1 from 7.2; apart from having to reload a few plugins, it seems good. I have 17 wadwaz-1 window sensors and all of them say "needs re-sync" in ugly red letters under State. When I click the State column, they are not properly ordered by this value making troubleshooting even more frustrating. I tried to re-sync a couple: timeout errors. That's expected since they're battery operated. So I click sync and open/close the window a few times. It still doesn't sync.

Any idea how I fix this? I'm not real sure what the best way to re-sync a window sensor is. Do I have to unscrew them all and press the button?

Can I put in a feature request that the State column allows ordering of the "error" value (being displayed) instead of the hidden value?

Thanks!
-captain

PS. Is this happening because the secondary sensor in the wadwaz-1 has been added as a device in 7.3? If yes, yay! <3

EDIT: I unscrewed one and pressed the button. It synced. Two more sensors appeared. Amazing! Any way to do this without pushing the buttons? haha thanks again!

Re: Indigo 7.3

You’ve answered your own question there; sync needs doing by whatever method the manufacturer implemented - which is usually a button, particularly if its battery powered.

Re sorting the column, that’s one for Matt/Jay to look at. As plugin devs we can set two values for state, one for calculations and one for visual - say “10” and “10° C” - I don’t know if they’re using the uiValue to display the sync message, or some other way.

This has been discussed many times over the years. We may someday revisit how that sorting is done, but suffice it to say that there are opinions on how that sorting should work and not a good general consensus when they don't work as you might expect...

It would be nice to have a defined format for units of measurement in the indigo preferences that all plugins would follow.. ability to set °C or °F, how that unit is displayed in the device list, and alternate options for it that’d automatically show when doing things like control pages. And then just having two values to work with in indigo, a float and integer version. Everything else done by indigos preferences on the fly!

Computer says no.
