Touchscreens are good for communal areas (your entry point) and look great. However...
We know that if something happens and you need to access a system quickly (silence an activation, locate the area of an intrusion, etc), then navigating touchscreen menus of all forms can be problematic. If someone is stressed, coordination tends to go out the window, and it is very easy to go into wrong screens by tapping the screen too many times (wrong code entered or options). In such cases, a conventional keypad with rubber keys offers better performance.
Defiantly a conventional keypad for sleeping areas!
The PK5500/RFK5500 keypad looks nice in entrances with the glass finish of the screen/pad flap.
