Matt,

Yes, it was working before, but I was getting random encryptions errors, which is why I when ahead and removed it. This is what I have done:

changed to another USB port - same error
use a USB hub and without - same error
rebooted the indigo machine - same error

I am going to buy another lock and see if that is the case. However, if I use the same lock hardware and the same UZB1 and it works in a raspberry pi with z-way, then the only thing left is something with my mac-mini or indigo.

Although I have two other locks working, another Kwikset and a Yale, is there a way to reset the encryption vault? Could that be corrupted and the original cause of the problem?

Actually, just checked my other two locks, and when trying to re-sync, getting the same error for both:

Another Kwikset
Z-Wave Error encrypted command received from node ID 116 has invalid CBC-MAC value (ignoring)

Yale
Z-Wave Error encrypted command received from node ID 118 has invalid CBC-MAC value (ignoring)

I will venture to say, something got corrupted in myIndigo as all the locks were working before.

What is the firmware version of your UZB1 controller, and have you ever upgraded it?

Did you last firmware upgrade coincide with the lock(s) starting to throw errors? I wonder if it's a bad firmware flash to your uzb...

Is that the firmware version for the UZB1 (not the lock)? It seems too high to be the UZB. I think you may be experiencing the same problem mentioned here.

Update: Looks like you are on firmware version 5.27. If you revert back to 5.07 (as mentioned on the other thread) I believe it will work. I don't know what UZB changed in the firmware that is causing the failures with Indigo. We'll investigate it, but at this time reverting the firmware should get it working.

I downgraded the firmware of the UZB1 to version 5.07. All is back working. Validated all devices and everything is working fine.

Included the lock with encryption. No errors, no issues:

Z-Wave controller included module: 061 - Keypad Door Lock
Z-Wave querying module for encryption support
Z-Wave starting encryption key exchange with module
Z-Wave completed encryption key exchange with module
Z-Wave stopped controller inclusion mode

However, when I try to do the sync, it just doesn't work.

Z-Wave Syncing - started for "061 - Keypad Door Lock"
Z-Wave Syncing - retrieved module neighbors list: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31, 32, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 44, 45, 47, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 59, 60, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 82, 84, 85, 89, 94, 104, 121, 123, 124, 155, 157
Z-Wave Syncing - assigning return route to "061 - Keypad Door Lock"
Z-Wave Error Syncing - failed
Z-Wave Error Timeout waiting for "061 - Keypad Door Lock". Module might be asleep, or is unreachable.

The lock is within 24" of the UBZ1

Suggestions?

Matt - look a bit further, I realized that node 90, in the list of nodes doesn't exist.

Could that be the issue?

Matt - Solved! Bad UZB1. Luckily, I had a spare UZB1 and a full backup. Downgraded it to 5.07, did a full restore, and ready to go.

Thank you for the suggestions. Looking forward to full support for the latest firmware (5.36)

Matt, by any chance - finally to support newer FW? :)

I'll be happy to sponsor a dev environment - can actually either send the UZB to you (you can change z-wave frequency to any supported region) or enable remote access to my lab in the UK (mac mini +spare UZB).

Quite a few improvements in the latest FW, but anything higher than 5.07 is not working properly with Indigo :(

I just posted on the other thread, but I do have a UZB with 5.27. It definitely has some differences that cause Indigo confusion. Haven't looked at the encryption/lock issue yet, but I will.

You can easily upgrade to the latest FW

Actually, I'm using VMware Fusion (Debian Linux in a VM) to connect UZB on the same mac Indigo server to make backups via razberry - works fine. They've got X86 build.

FW upgrade (and downgrade) could be done easily.
