non invasive water use / leak detection

Streamlabs Smart Home Water Monitor with Wi-Fi for $200

I didn't see an API for it, but the fact that you can install it without cutting pipe is appealing.

Hmm, actually looks quite useful. Seeing whether they can ship to me here - if so and works will see about accessing the API

Re: non invasive water use / leak detection

A couple years ago there was an announcement for a similar product with a Z-Wave radio in it:

GoControl Smart Water Flow Detector WL00Z-1
http://www.lowvoltagesupply.com/2GIG-WL00Z-1-GoControl-Smart-Water-Flow-Detector-p/wl00z-1.htm

I immediately ordered one, only to have my order cancelled by the store because the product never did make it into production, apparently.

Here's the book:
http://www.gocontrol.com/manuals/WL00Z-1-Install.pdf

Another marketing page from a retailer:
https://www.007systems.com/nortek-wl00z-1.html#/

I reached out to Nortek/GoControl some time back, but no response. If anyone has any knowledge of this thing, I sure would be interested.
