Zooz ZSE18 Motion Sensor

Questions about hardware that can be controlled by Indigo (but not through the interfaces and plugins listed). If Indigo doesn't support some bit of hardware you're interested in, and you don't find a 3rd Party Plugin for it, add it to this forum. Be sure to include links to as much information as you can find about it.

Note: adding it here does not mean we're going to add it - in fact it's possible one of our 3rd party developers may decide to write a plugin for it. We add hardware/features based on a lot of different factors beyond just having a request for it.

Zooz ZSE18 Motion Sensor

Just got my hands on the Zooz ZSE18 Motion sensor. I have successfully added it to Indigo, but it doesn't it gives no notification of motion events. Has anyone successfully integrated this into their Indigo system?

Cheers! :D

Give the instructions here a try and I believe you'll be able to get it working using a couple of triggers.

Re: Zooz ZSE18 Motion Sensor

I purchased a Zooz ZSE29 outdoor motion sensor for turning on lights based on outdoor motion. Using the information from the provided link, I was able to get the desired basic functionality with little effort - thanks!

If anyone else is using this device, the command string I used to capture motion signal from the device was * 0x01 0x10 0x00 0x04 0x00 0x16 0x0A 0x71 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xFF 0x07 0x00 0x01 0x08 0x72 *, obtained from the device event log (converted to a compatible byte string) and inserted into the "match bytes" field of an event trigger that turns on lights based on the motion.

Indigo 7.3 (and 7.3.1) are now available and should support the Zooz Outdoor Motion Sensor (ZSE29).
