Upgraded from 7.0 to 7.2, Insteon stopped working

This weekend I renewed my subscription. I downloaded and installed 7.2, and for some reason my Insteon stopped working. I have a Powerlink 2413U USB which works just fine in 7.0, but doesn't work anything in 7.2. It's showing as connected but the little green status light bottom left corner of the interface that goes back and forth when the command is executed it just frozen in the middle of the bar. Also, Indigo is reporting all devices as On when in fact none of them are at the moment. When I go back to 7.0, everything's normal.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.

Thanks

Make sure that you completely shut down 7.0 before you start up 7.2.

Re: Upgraded from 7.0 to 7.2, Insteon stopped working

Thanks Jay,

I just noticed that the Z Wave plugin was for some reason interfering with the Insteon plugin. I don't have a Z Wave anyway at this time so when I deactivated it Insteon started responding normally. I do however see that I have a lot of devices that are showing as On, and if I manually turn them off they show as Off. Is there a way to poll the entire system?

Thanks for the prompt response.

I suspect that the Z-Wave interface was trying to use the serial port for your PowerLinc and that was causing the issue.

To get devices back in sync you can just do a status request for each of them. Once in sync then you'll be good to go.

Thanks again. With regards to the Z Wave, I bought a Z Stick S2 a couple of years ago and I've never been able to get Indigo to recognize it. I'd like to start using Z Wave, do you recommend any particular interface out there?

Thanks

Lots of us use the Z-Stick S2 - what were the errors when you tried to use it?

It's just not recognized by Indigo. It's plugged into the Mac, the blue lights on, but when I activate the Z Wave plugin it just shows the Z wave indicator at the bottom on the interface with a red line through it.

Did you select the correct serial port for it? Did you install the serial port driver for it (the series 2 requires a driver install)?

Thanks again Matt! It was the driver, as I suspected i might have been. Thanks for the link, I was having troubling finding a non Windows driver for the Z Stick. All working now.
