Backup

Backup my indigo using archiving software so I can revert to a previous version in case something fails. I noticed a few files not being backed up because they begin with a “.” Are there any files that begin with a “.” That should be archived?

It's not rocket science...

Re: Backup

Not sure if this is what your looking for, but feel free to take a look at how I did my automated/offsite backup for Indigo, I believe it will backup . files.

Re: Backup

I can't speak with any authority that these are the only ones, but there are at least 3 such files that should be backed up (ref Indigo 7.2 folder tree):

Code: Select all
.Action Collection.indigoPlugin
.INSTEON Commands.indigoPlugin
.Z-Wave.indigoPlugin

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

EDIT: these files would be reinstalled using the base installer.

Re: Backup

I just checked and the tar approach does backup those files.
